Love, Joy, Peace...
Administration
The Administration ministry works to keep us organized. From insurance to staffing to paper clips, this ministry makes sure we have the tools to support everything that the church does together. If you understand insurance, if you really like spreadsheets, if you are interested in making sure Trinity is a safe environment for everyone this ministry could use your support.
Education and Nurture
How do we educate and nurture every member of our community? What curriculum is good for children? What should adults be talking about? How do we create a place for our youth? These are some of the big questions that the Education and Nurture ministry wrestle with. Do you have ideas for classes? Do you have a different model in mind for Sunday school? Can you teach a class? There are many ways to support Education and Nurture at Trinity, to find out how you can help.
Facilities
We love our church building. It is like a second home. But like every home it needs to be looked after and there are a lot of things in a big old building that need to be looked after. Things like security systems, wifi, floors, lights, air conditioning. You might not be able to fix things yourself but maybe you can help organize vendors? Maybe you can make sure the doors are locked at night? Maybe you do know how to change a lightbulb or even hang a door. However you are able to help

Fellowship
The Fellowship Ministry plans and organizes gatherings throughout the year for the Trinity community to spend time together, usually with food. The hope is that these gatherings help create a place where all feel welcome. Gatherings in recent years have included the fall retreat, lunch on Stewardship Sunday, and chili dinner on the night of caroling and the living Nativity. If you would like to help, contact Ellen Greer or Kim Whittaker, or watch for sign-up opportunities to help with a particular event!

Finance
How do we responsibly use our money? It is the job of the Finance Ministry to make sure that the money entrusted to Trinity is used wisely. The Finance Ministry makes sure that Trinity is able to pay its bills and invest for the future. As well as keeping the Session and the Ministries within their budgets.

Mission and Service
Mission and Service has responsibility for allocating  the 10% of Trinity’s operating budget that is earmarked annually for mission purposes. MSM funds provide basic support for the mission work of the National Capital Presbytery and PCUSA, as well as for numerous local and international programs in the areas of housing, hunger, health, refugee assistance, local community assistance, and more. Trinity financially supports and is in regular communication with six mission partners serving in some of the most challenging places across the globe, including the Republic of Congo; South Sudan; Lebanon, Syria and Iraq; and at the US/Mexico border. MSM funds also support the volunteer or professional work by making annual contributions to the agencies in which our members are involved.. MSM sponsors local hands-on service projects for adults and families where they can learn first hand about the needs in our community.
Outreach
The Outreach Ministry helps welcome all types of newcomers to our Trinity community. This includes hosting the Inquirers classes for those that are considering joining Trinity; hosting the Inquirers + New Members dinner; advertising the church through our lawn banners, signs and social media posts; and more. We also work more generally to be a friendly neighbor to those who are new to worship, and help get people plugged in to Trinity based on their interests and skills. We are also launching some new ways this year to engage newcomers such as through community service (e.g., preparing lunches for homeless people in collaboration with families from Trinity Preschool). If you’re an introvert or extrovert, old or young, new to Trinity or a seasoned veteran … we’d love to have you on the Outreach team to advance forward this work.
