Eastern Shore Field Trip
The Racial Justice Ministry is sponsoring a one-day trip to the Eastern Shore, to visit sights of the secret network’s most famous “conductor” of the underground railroad, Harriet Tubman, who was born enslaved, grew up, and honed the skills—such as trapping, hunting, and using stars to navigate—she used to escape to freedom.
The trip will be Saturday, March 22. We will meet at Trinity about 7:15 am and carpool to the Harriet Tubman Visitor Center. From there we will be in vans for a tour of historical landmarks and hear stories about Harriet. This will be led by local guides Alex and Lisa Green, and followed by a homemade, all you can eat Eastern Shore Meal. The price of the trip is $80 per person (half price for kids under 15). Please don’t let the price scare you. If you want to go and this won’t fit in your budget, Trinity will provide scholarships. This is a Family friendly trip! This will be a fun, educational trip with the fellowship of the Trinity family.
